Silicon Valley Adult Education

I moved from Colombia in March 2022. It was a big change, but also an exciting opportunity to grow and start a new chapter in my life.

I shared how excited I am about my future and my desire to keep improving my leadership skills. I believe being a good leader is very different from just being a boss — leadership is about empathy, emotional intelligence, and helping others grow. This program has been a great opportunity for me to develop those qualities.

My journey has been all about discipline and good habits. Every day, I study in the morning, cook my lunch, go to the gym, and then go to work. On Saturdays, I go surfing — it’s a new sport and hobby that I’m really enjoying. I think it’s important to have different hobbies that make you feel good about yourself and help you balance your life.

My hopes for the future are to keep growing as a person — to discover more about myself, and to continue developing both my intellectual and emotional intelligence. I want to rebuild myself into a healthy, smart, and motivated man who keeps moving forward with purpose.

Never lose hope. We all have the potential to achieve great things, especially in this country full of opportunities. It’s all about taking action, staying consistent, and keeping a positive attitude.

My journey from Colombia to Silicon Valley has been full of challenges, but also beautiful lessons. Moving to another country taught me how strong and capable I can be. Every day I try to grow — not just in English or professional skills, but as a person. I’m truly grateful for the support and opportunities I’ve found at Silicon Valley Adult Education. This school has helped me build confidence, discipline, and hope for the future. I hope my story can inspire others to believe that no matter where you come from, with consistency, positivity, and faith, you can rebuild yourself and achieve amazing things
